Ok, I have "heard" that 9v batteries will not deliver enough current to push a decently hefty motor..?... whats the truth behind this.

The reason i ask, is becuase i wont be getting my litiums for a while, and, am planning on running two NiMH 9v batteries.

As soon as i can get the lighter, Li-Ions to push it at 16 volts i will.

I have a power control circuit and so no worries about frying my board. and my motor has held 20 + volts for 15 minutes, not sweat.. barely even warmed up.

So >18 should be fine.

any tips on how this will run? or what kind of problems i may run into?

Just for fun, i hooked a 9v bat up to a 7t motor (built it just to say i did), and the motor turned no faster than it did on 4.8v, and in fact a bit slower due to the 9v's low current output. Remember, a 9v is just 6 1.5v, 125 mAh batteries, give or take.

yeh i know, but 6v. isnt gonna push my motor ..lol.. so i need an alternative until i get my Li-Ions

you might get 2 minutes run time, and the batteries cant support the amp drain
