There is a way to mount larger motors on GEN1's with the metal heatsink.
It involves cutting the heatsink in two, shaping it and soldering/welding the heat sink right on the motor such that the mouting holes line up.
It's been done before, I forget what size motor was used. Don't think it was as big as a 540 can.
There is a tutorial here to do it, but the pics don't show anymore.
thanks for the reply :) but i dumped the project.
no.... a few ppl have had succes adding in 540 motors. its not all that hard. but is a completly custom job.

back when i was a noob i had this idea: http://www.xmodworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=146647...
theres a link in there i think that goes to a tutorial that tells how to do it, but FETs might be an issue, and the pics are broken in the tut.

thanks anyways cowboy :)
1/10th scale usually run on 540 motors which by your measurements seems close...maybe a 400 can but most likely 540.
1. Way too heavy 2. Too difficult to fit 3. ...Bacon and eggs
4. That means it will fry just like...
