i just got the kyosho x-speed motor, and i'm trying to figure out what pinion i need for it. i know you guys will be able to help. i have a gen. 1, i dont know if i will be able to use the regular xmod ones or if i need kyosho one (if theres even a difference) and i'm not sure where to get it. so if you could help me out or give me a link on where to get them, that'd be great. thanks alot!

if you're saying your using the red bevel gear in the rear diff area of your xmod, you need to mount a 9 tooth pinion on your X-Speed. From my understanding of that motor(I have one for my Mini-Z AWD) I wouldn't go much past a 9 tooth pinion. I would probably stay at 4.8 volts as well...but that's just me. :wink:
hmm alright, i'm using the awd (red) one, so does that mean i need red ones also?
You need to use the XMOD pinions, or pinions that match the XMOD pinions. They are matched to the bevel gears.
The XMOD pinions should fit on that motor with no problem.
