I recently picked up this motor from a local hobby shop, But is it safe to use in an evo with stock FETs? I have already seen the specs on pimpmymod, but I'm still not sure.
Is the hyperdash 2 REALLY a faster, higher torque motor than an RS s2?

Re: Tamiya Hyper Dash 2

Now that I remember, the brushes didn't quite seem right after I replaced the arm. I think that I damaged them during the armature swap. (didn't take them off the can, just moved them out of the way) I then proceeded to attempt a break-in (not sure I did that right, either)

*Update*

I just tried this hyper dash 2 out, and didn't take long before I killed it.
The FETs are fine, but when I opened up the motor, the comm.
is trashed! I mean it fricking tore itself to bits!
This was the result of putting the arm in an s1 can. Thats enough bass-ackwards motor mods for one day, for me anyway.

Something's wrong with your installation... I've had a Hyper Dash 2 in my MR02 for a long time (just recently switched out for another). Only thing that should wear down quickly are the brushes.
