i am facing a problem with an installed s2 evolution motor on my firebird. i am running the 30k rpm motor on a 9/24 gear ratio setup. but when i push throttle, i hear a high pitched whine (same thing at reverse). when i put it down on ground it reverses quite slowly. i think its a problem with how i installed the motor, but need some help
lol *smacks myself on head* i did not install the motor spacer. i didnt think it wud make much of a difference, but it does.
Try what Cowboy said, if that still doesn't help, try lubing the bushings of your motor.
well, depending on which incorrect installation it either has slipping gears or binding gears.
1.Check to see if all the appropriate parts are in place(pinion/spur/motor spacer)
2.Check for new found friction in the AWD shaft(if you have one)
3.Test motor spinning free from motor mount(maybe the motor has issues)
I don't know if this helps, but it is important to diagnose/troubleshoot your issue with these items.
