just thought i'd let you guys know about this.
i changed out my motor a while back i took a oral b toothbrush motor out of a atomatic toothbrush, and put it in my toyota supra and that thing screams. just needed to solder a motor wire to the new motor and presto instant (180 long motor) do not use rear mootor mount, the front mount will work but will be tight.

i got it texan, heres a thread with a titan with a 180 motor

It can just barely fit onto the evo trucks, Ive seen. Id love to show you guys, but XMS banned me for "spamming"  Donzii will agree that its a stupid ban.
Once its lifted, Ill go fetch the pictures/

Just so happens that I have one of those that never gets used, and a Gen 1 Corvette coming, so I may have to try this!
I am thinking about making myself some heatsinks for the motors in my Evos and the Vette when it gets here, would they help in this instance as well?
Will not work on an evo. a 180 motor is longer than a 130.
Will this work on an evo chasis? And will it work with the newer toothbrushes?
Oh. Gotcha. Thought it might still be commonly available. I was going to grab one off the local drugstore shelf. See how well it performs. (Oops)
As for the vents in the can, I dont have a drill press which is the best & cleanest way of doing it. For me it'll have to be done with my cordless drill. A quick mod like that can get ugly if not done right, which is why I still havent done it. At least I have the dremel as backup if need be.
I dont know if anyone else is like this, but Im always apprehensive about doing any mod, and then act like the man when it goes through ok.
Good luck with future projects, Alvin.
sorry about the useless posts - mech
no man it was older toothbrush then that, but basically the same thing and ive never tried to put vents in a motor, but doenst sound hard
It wouldn't be the Oral-B AdvancePower 400, would it?

Have you successfully put vents in a can before? Im tempted to try it myself. Prolly gonna try it tonight on a mabuchi 130 can I pulled from a lego racer I dug out of the old lego box.

it was an older oral-b i had laying around with a Circle brush top, i had it for a while then i burnt it up the next one im gonna do i will put some vent holes in it
Which OralB brush is that from? Im used to the SB & Colgate 'Motion' motors. Lots of Torque to it? Im thinking of going 180 can on one of my cars.
thanks - mech
