Is there a tut I missed on how to install brushes?

I am trying to fix a motor, I believe burned out fast with bad brushes...but, don't know how to do it exactly.

Pics would be awesome.

Thanks.

Sorry admin if this is in wrong spot...but, figured was good place to ask

Re: Installing Brushes

check to see if the v shaped metal thing is still in the can. it keeps the magnets apart so the armature can spin.

Re: Installing Brushes

The first picture, the diagram. Take the motor out and lay it like that. Then take pictures.

We'll be glad to help, it's just hard to see what you mean withouth pictures.

Re: Installing Brushes

Ok...another problem then.

Before I saw yer post, I got brave and tore it open.

Is it at all possible that the magnets and the armature are so magnetic that the batteries wont spin it?

I got some motor off a guy and he said it was a high rpm...over 70K.

The magnets are apparently neos and the other specs are like 25t 26gauge.

there are (as far as I can tell...no front or rear bushings.

When I first installed the motor, it burnt out in like 2 seconds.

He said bad brushes....I had no idea.

Now, I am looking to replace them....I am using 2x4 FETS and lipoly.

I did some can swapping and brush swapping, etc. but coudlnt get the armature to rotate in the can. I could, however, get a stage 1 to turn with the neos in that can....no problem.

So, I guess I will wait and see what you say then try to pick up some new brushes I guess and experiment with things.

Any more info would be great.

Thanks,

Here's a another picture. Don't mind the comment or the sheet, I had some work done on my car, and pulled this off FSX...

Just saw this come up, next time use the search, or just look in the forum first. This was right below your post.
