Currently I have no way to test motors. I was exploring the option of using part of my meager budjet to purchase the nessisary equipment and materials to test motors with but, sadly I do not even know what to purchase, or how to conduct the testing.

What are the benchmarks for testing?

What data is most important for capture?

Is there commercialy available solutions for testing motors this small?

I have started a redesign of the motor can and brushes now that the major armature work is complete. I respect and welcome all suggestions as well as any critiqueing of the design. 100 brains are better than one.

Re: WRAITH-Testing Questions

you can get torque by puting a 1cm radius pulley in the motor and start adding weight to a rope, conected to the pulley.

You should get g/cm of torque

1. I hope that the thing on your post is not your signature...kind of big. 8O

Testing parameters are usually amp draw rate at various voltages and rpms. I imagine that the best way is to have a motor tester(google Much More electronics) but there are some chargers that can do motor functions as well.
