Motor pinion wount come off

hi
is there a way of getting the pinion off the motor i got a gws micro pinion puller all the other pinions from the set came off but the red(drag) just does not want to get off i tryed realy hard trying to remove it but its only banding the bottom of the puller is there any ways of getting it off i have tryed to heat it up but still no luck

don't use the GWS micro pinion puller , but do use the regular size one.
and it works alot better... i have broken 2 of the micro size puller, and now the regular size one works very well.
nope tryed that even tryed using a hammer still bend when i try to remove a pinion but it still does the job but i know its going to snap after like 3 pulls or more or less
push it against the floor and make it flat

yea i got it off heated it up to red hot for 10 sec and then let it cool down and it came off but now my problem is my pinion puller is deformed and the bottom its a little bend at the bottom coming out
what did you use to heat it with? I ask because when I have a finicky pinion I use a propane torch and carefully heat the pinion...it expands enough to make it come off eventually. :wink:
i used to use hammers. take two hammers, put the nail pulling end where the piion is and hit that hammer with a different hammer. sorry if this sounds confusing. also while ddoing this you should have it in a vice
