Where can I get a replacement servo or pointmeter for my EVO car? Mine is acting up and not working all the time.
Ive checked a few sites and cant seem to fine any replacements, stock or aftermarket.
All wiring is fine and connectors are fine.

THANKS

Re: Evo servo replacements?

To me that sounds like one or more gear teeth are chipped on one of the interior gears of the servo. If so, the broken teeth floating around the servo unit could explain why the action is so random.

Have you taken the front end apart to clean it and check for physical obstructions that could be hindering the travel of the steering rod? Its far more likely that the issue resides within the servo itself, but cant hurt to troubleshoot it anyway.

Good luck - mech

Maybe we can source your problem if you don't think it's the wiring.

It will work fine, then only turn one direction. When I try to manually turn the wheels it feels stuck, like a broken gear. A little playing with the controller, (turning it back and forth) then the steering seems fine. When off, and im manually cycling the steering back and forth, sometimes it gets stuck in the middle or turned , and i cant turn it.
Hope this helps

Re: Evo servo replacements?

If you know its the motor, you could possibly swap it with a Zip Zap monster truck motor.
