I don't know much about this but it seemes to me that lower windings mean higher top speed, so can I take a stage 2 motor andtrim it so it has 35 turns?
The lower the turns on your motor the more amount of speed you're going to have. The more turns on your motor the more torque you're going to have. In a sense.
But, with lower windings comes a higher amperage draw from the EP. If you go under 45T you're really making it a risk to have a motor on stock FETs.
If you want more power from your Stage 2 you could order some Neodynium Magnets, or you could lower the windings on your Stage 1/2 to have around 40-45T. 40-45 is typically considered the "safe haven" for the least amount of turns a motor can have for it to not blow your stock FETs. Some say you can go as low as 35/30T, but I really wouldn't go that low and risk burning your FETs when you can get a stack from -XCRL- or an external Turbo (like the Nelly or Spider) and have an even lower turned motor and have your whole Xmod be a whole lot more efficient.
Less torque, so not enough push to get the xmod going.
I don't know if anyones going to help, but I finaly did this with my stage 2 evo motor
Unfortunatly it goes slower now, even without load. I wound it to 40 turns (well, ones 39 cause my motor broke)
Any idea what the problem is?
Could anyone tell me how to do it, I don't want to ruin a perfectly good motor trying to do it myself.
