I'm always hearing about how much more wheel whobble it gives, so my question is should i get it ofr my 4WD 5 cell hummer? I need some way to get my truck higher so my question is should i just get bigger tires off the net, or get the lift kit?

Both!!

Here's what the lift, bigger tires, and a few minutes with my dremel got me:

This has zero body lift. just the RS suspension lift, and trimmed fenders.

the true question, however, is what are you doing with it?

You jacked my truck, lol.

I'm with Numbchux, but easy on the tire size!

Re: RS Lift Kit

where can i get a good set off larger tires that will fit onto my truck rims ( or gen 1 rims since i have some spares) without too much modification? I'm kinda thinkin i'll skip the lift kit and just get bigger tires. if i dont like it that way, then i'll go get the lift kit i guess

Re: RS Lift Kit

even with the lift kit, you still have a low point that's determined by your tires. the front lower control arm STILL hits on rocks and such. only bigger tires will cure that. the lift kit does keep your truck from high centering as much, though.

now, in the front, it does cause a pretty bad toe problem. i think i can correct it, but i'm going to try it myself on my truck before i even hint at what it is. that way we don't have 50 destroyed trucks before someone speaks up about it.

one problem i've found is that RS doesn't seem to think the truck tires will wear out. the treaded truck tires are only available in the lift kit. i've chewed one set of the tires up really badly. my ONLY option is to order from the internet or get some from another car (like the dollar store tires).

and i'm not so sure you can fit bigger tires under the body without the lift. my f150 would bind badly with the offroad tires with the lift kit not installed. you'd need a body lift or a fender trim for sure if you have the f150.
