Making you own awd for gen 1?

Since awd kits are somewhat hard to find these days, as well as the fact that i only need to front gear because all the other parts will be aluminum, (dogbones and cups). Well what I was wondering is if you think it would work if I dremeled down the large part of a rear bevel gear and used that as a front gear? meh I got extras I might as well try it.

uhh i could prob make one even thou it is very simple to do, ill be adding in under tuts pretty soon here

I've done it...it works. Dremel enough material off the spur section of the bevel gear, shape into a column that extends over your tie rod and voila! :wink:
