I just got the GT-R lower chassis from CXP and I must say that it just might be better then the switchblade. It seems to be more rigid. I used the switchblade upper chassis. Check out the pics. The batteries aren't on it yet because I want to shrink wrap the supports because the battery ends sit really close to them and could short out.

Wow. I don't think it's worth it, unless it's carbon-fiber or fiberglass.

why would you want fiberglass? this chassis is stronger than both, and lighter, and if you want a really fast car, it would be worth it, get that whole "carbon fiber=cool!" thing out of your head.

Re: CXP chassis

Dude, maxaxle, he wasnt saying that the chassis was that much, he is talking about the car total, with all of the upgrades.

You need to read, use your common sense and stop posting crap, Max. Pay attention.

And if you were talking about the car, then where does CF or fiberglass fit in? Were talking about the alloy, liths, and more...

My friend, you haven't been around long enough to fully appreciate the older cars. Btw, since you already brought back a 1-month-dead thread, go look at some 1-year-old threads.

Maxaxle- what's worth it, in your opinion?

 I don't think it makes much of a difference from the stock chassis besides weight and strength.

thats the point.

how much was that total?

Thank you. My thoughts exactly. Total cost for the car...the whole 9 yards is about $470.

Re: CXP chassis

If I were to "guesstimate" the weight difference between the two chassis, I would say that there is really no difference, unless you factor in the weight of the vertical supports. As for the strength, it definally is stronger hands down which is why I'm using just the top half of the switchblade now.
trust me there is no other car than the Skyline GT-R.

Re: CXP chassis

we've been saying it since AM's prototypes came out... CXP just makes a sturdier chassis. heavier no doubt, but sturdier by far.

that chassis better go under a skyline GTR.
