my car handles too well.
running awd, med. tires stage 2 motor, bearings, dropped suspension and the GTR body mount. it is as low as i can make it- but when i corner fast it flips-i'm concerned that when i upgrade to the li-ions my corner entry speeds will be faster and so this will happen more.
any suggestions?
Yeah, definately!
Oh, and until you get it right, make a roll cage body.
i would even put a slightly harder tire on, just so they can slide a little bit in case of too much force
There's a mod that involves screwing the rear suspension top plate into the chassis, and will thus reduce the [minute] free articulation of the rear suspension. http://www.xmoding.com/ftopict-293.html Have you done it? It's supposed to reduce rollovers.
Other than that, a method to reduce the G's is just to kick the tail out in the corners. You'll be turning less to achieve the same turn radius, and it should stop the tires from hooking the car onto its roof.
try higher gearing.
your car doesn't handle well if it rolls over!
my awd evo with a st2 and liths hasn't flipped over without hitting a bump.
yes it is, and paying attention to details, at any scale, pays off
It negates your finely tuned suspension? This is an xmod, sorry.
i know that my car has too much grip and is flipping because of the lateral g's. i don't want to adjust my steering trim (already tried that) because that negates my finely tuned suspension. i'll try harder tires, and i guess i could brake more. thanks guys.
You can try adjusting the trim on the tx so that you don't go in as hard... that would help the flipping
That won't solve the problem. Your setup is very grippy. It's actually a good setup.
But what his problem is, is his driving style. Try to assess it and see if I'm telling the truth. You try to enter the corner braking as late as possible. This puts alot of body roll and lateral Gs on the car. THIS, combined with your very grippy tyres cause you to flip. Your tyres are essensially "tripping up" your Xmod.
What you can do is, brake on the straight early and throttle through the corner, this will reduce the lateral Gs. That will reduce it. If you're still flipping (but not as much), change to a harder compound tyre to allow more slip on the outer wheels.
Try that, and be honest with yourself. My way of driving is not for everyone. But if my assumptions are correct, that's one way to counter what's happening.
Maxx
try changing your springs, stiffer suspension on front and softer on the back may solve the problem (blue on front-yellow on back).
i have the same set up described above and i HARDLY flip over.
