Well It's true I've been playing with xmods in my spare time and now Ive made a xmod evo car into a xmod truck with ok suspension travel.
I got some pics i'll get betters ones later today, I'm also working on a way to make the rear wheels work again with a new drive system maybe even a new motor mounting design. It looks like crap so far but it isnt that much, I need to get some bigger wheels still and i know i can mount a hummer body on it with a chassis extender i have but i dont have a hummer of a xmod truck at all
Well heres the pics and comment on what you think about them.....
the pics suck as i said.....

Skylineracer
That is about the most pointless thing i have ever seen... the tires are in no way connected to the motor... that is the dumbest thing i have ever seen... i dont mean any disrespect but seriously... how would the motor even turn the wheels? basically you have no way of steering... much less driving... and it looks totally redicules on the F-bird...

Please for the love of god, save the 20+ inch rims for the trucks man. Think of it in this sense, once you do this that Monte Carlo loses pretty much all its resale value to the general public. So when you goto sell it later on, good luck. Donks are a trend, just like spinners. And those are now dieing out.
Theres nothing bigger than the 30'' in production though, and thats overkill for the H2s.
I like the rest of your plan, but raising a car for rims is just silly. Lower it with some 19" or 20" on air ride, muuuch smoother ride.
Just my bit on classic american customs dude.
 Phew, allright then. Maybe try jsut sticking a car body on the truck chassie.

Its relative to the style of car that this chassie resembles.... Donks.

If you put some big wheels on it like scale 24s or 26s+ you could almost make it into a Hi-riser, a donk box or bubble if you happen to have a model body of an Impala or Caprice. If you don't know what they are go here http://www.kingofthestreet.com/ecrphotogallery.html for some pics. They may not be for everyone but I think they are cool and are something different. If you need a breakdown of what makes one of these:
Donk: Mid-'70s Impala, Caprice and Monte Carlo or any mid-'70s ride with a sloping tail
Box: Mid-'80s Impala, Caprice and Monte Carlo or any mid-'80s ride with a boxy rear clip
Bubble: 90s Caprices and Impalas, '90s rides that are rounded on both ends
All of these have wild candy paint jobs. Extravagant interiors often done in designer fabrics. A big and shiny motor, a sound system and other goodies. Also they usually have 24 - 30" wheels and above and have suspension similar to that of a lifted truck.
Like I said these are not really for everyone, some people think they are really cool(me) and others think they are stupid. I am actually plannintg to make a 86 Monte Carlo into one.

Wow no one is listening to what you said SkylineRacer lol. What skyline is trying to say is that it is not to be taken off road because there is no power going to the wheels, therefore it is just for looks.
looks nice but if you look at the frond shock its bent in half how does that work out?
The only way you're going to get that running is with a transfer case at each wheel a la Hummer H1. Other than that, nice try, do something more practical.
Yeah I know It was just something i did on a boring day that i didnt have school

my only thing with this is
your setup does not look strong nor stable
is the only thing thats holding it together a couple screws?because from the looks of your pics thats what it seems to me
now dont get me wrong, i think its very creative and quite ingeniousbut i think the whole stability setup should be re thought out
other than that, good work
Dont you understand that i dont really plan to use it all i did in the front was flip the nuckles over and almost the save in the back its never going to die unless i some how make a way to hook up the wheels to the dff

wow that looks really good 8O , good luck, I think you should get aluminum knuckles, as they dont look really solid for offroading.p.s a firebird is not a truck
