YOU HAVE A RAPID PROTOTYPER YOU CAN USE?!?!?!?! i'm jealous....lol. I have a rim i'm working on also. hopefully my school will get enough funding for us to get the RP we want.
I have access to a very advanced resin matrix 3d printer for rapid plastic prototyping. For carbon fiber or composite laminates I use dragonplate.com. I outsource metal parts or fabrications with local machinists.,and aquire parts through ebay or radio shack
I have several wheel designs already drawn up and I am planning on making latex /resin molds utilizing stereolithography. I was flirting with the idea of selling just the molds and materials aimed towards the do it yourself market ( ..... bust a wheel...Whip up 4 more.....).
I did it for the scratch builders here , and those that need this info to customize their cars such as those making custom chassis, or 1/24th 1/25th scale conversion projects.

Still crazy.
Do you have any way of getting your designs created, btw? You could make a pretty penny making Xmod and Mini-Z wheels.
