not realy lol

i found a way to put 1/18 scale foam tires on my xmod. before you complain i get them for free because theres a track about a mile away from me and i get tires for free because people throw away half used tires so i pick em up and sell it to other people for practice tires.

talk about rock crawling

its funny because i get less wheel wobble with these wheels than my regular wheels 8O

just some teasers for right now

Re: 1:18 scale xmod

no im going to wire about 12 volts directly to the motor while only have 6 running through the board.basically am going to wire in another battery tray. you need absolutely no modding to fit in a 300 sized motor. all you do it put it in a 45 degree angle into the hole where the gears are. the tips of the 300 motor meshes fine . ive personally done this and will take pics if youd like. but ive only drove it around for a couple of minutes so im not sure how long the gears meshing improperly would last

just took a picture for you anyways i upload it just now

im going to make my motor about a 90-120 wind motor

Good luck fitting 100 winds on the motor...

[quote:232ba993bb="r34ztune"]i also have a theory of fitting a 300 sized motor in my car.

It's been done. I'm not sure who did it (ph2t did the MR-02, but who did the 300?), but it's done. Fits with minor mods, and a diffrent ESC...

Re: 1:18 scale xmod

obviously im gonna find a way so the front wheels dont rub (involves some major offset). surprisingly this hasnt lost much speed at all and the foams are made for grip on tracks. my main goal was to find a way to mount the tires on the chassis. im going to make my motor about a 90-120 wind motor and put top speed gearing into it. i also have a theory of fitting a 300 sized motor in my car. i tried my car on some rocks just for giggles and it easily outdid my setup before. anything my front wheels are able to go over the back wheels conquer it easily.i havent found a material to run on that my foams wont grip on.

but i lost one of my dogbones today so it realy sucks. 3 wheel drive is pretty cool though

i only got 3 wheels because while test fitting the wheels i had to sacrifice one. so the project is going to continue wednesday (wednesday and saturday are track days) :(

and i wont be doing any offroading with any 130 sized motor? kid you make me laugh. i can offroad moderately fine with my stage one

I don't see what you're getting at...it was an idea, that sucked. I figured out that I'm too much of a nooby modder to do it (I'm pretty sure I posted that before; where, I don't know).

Re: 1:18 scale xmod

looks weird.. and seems way too big.. if u were using it for straight ways... at acceleration... your car would just probably spin out...

You won't be doing any off-roading with any 130 sized motor, with that size of a tire. You're going to have to do a servo mod., if you don't want to constantly get stuck and lack torque (because of large tires).

Also, good luck not getting a set of those to rub in the front.

Other reasons why you won't be off-roading with those tires:
~They're slicks, they have no treads.
~They're very low profile tires, the oposite of what you should be using to off-road.

It's pretty useless.
