Hello again guys, I mention before that I have several side projects (SP's) that i'll be working on ( 4 to be exact) so here's the second one already. It's a '72 Chevy cheyenne:

I had to cut the bed on this model because it was a bit too long for the Titan chasis. The pic you see above is the end result after it cam out from the chop-shop. More progress pics to come soon!

Re: '72 Chevy Cheyenne : PROJECT COMPLETED 7/31/07

Back in the day when it was lifted  ...pretty good shot of the grill

The suspension setup does do more for me like AznKevin said...it helps my articulation but not on the cheyenne...the chassis extenders dont let it articulate  but im not about to change it so...yeah It helps on mmy hummer the most for some reSon?i think the shorter wheel base but it does work wonders for me...But i have to confess...My best friend....Xmodkidd33 who lives down the street gave me the ideaSO dont give me the credit...The props go to him Well...XModification...you blew my truck away...Great job on the paint and shortening the bed...You wouldve never been able to know it was shortened...But the wheels kind of dissapionted me...I expected some nice custom wheels lol...IMO the wheels you put on your 1984 gmc,The most recent one with the winch, Would look the best. Well thanks gus! and XModification, Props dude, Just...props

UPDATED PICS: 7/27/07

Hey guys, it's about time I updated this thread now. I had alittle accident involving some model cement glue and the hood - lets just say that I found out that the glue can melt the plastic pretty fast. Anyways I took care of that so it's not noticable and the paint job is about 70% completed. There's just a few touch-ups, installing the interior and detailing paint work left and then it will be time to mount it up and roll it out to do some test runs.

Here's some progress pics for now:

just show them before pictures... in progress picture... and after pictures... then they all will understand and believe you in it.

that you got the skill and worth to prove and show off with it...

WTH Xmodification, taking all my ideas, I see how it is..... . One question, I guess i'll ask here, how did you attatch the bed to the cab? When I shortend my bed, I had to cut the bottom of the bed, and just made a mess of things, and poured glue until it held  (not really, but theres alot of glue). But could you post how you attached the bed to the cab? When I redo mine, well if I redo mine, I would know what to do.

LOL - there's only a few chevy models to work with out there. The way I did the bed was basically simple - I measured and cut the side panels plus the bed cover - then I cut it using my trusthy little dremel - the pieces that are cut off from the side panel I then glued on the inside at the edge of the panels that were cut. Now the back panel ( the piece that attaches to the cab) will also need to be cut if you want to use that. I didn't use the botton of the bed at all because I glued on the cover as to support the bed frame, the tail gate is also glued on since it's not required to open and close. I'll try to get a pic later of the way I have it becasue it's almost similiar to the original way it was suppose to be glued on.

@ Tex - i'll leave it as is - it's just a model r/c no need to go too scale on these things -lol. Anyways, i'll definately take off the Titan rims - it's just that i'm using a new titan chasis and i haven't figured out what rims to use on this one yet.

Re: '72 Chevy Cheyenne : PROJECT COMPLETED 7/31/07

So basically you just turned it from lwb to swb, not uncommon in real life actually. If you want it to be scale, you need to lob some the back off as well. If you want to go on that quest, Ill get the measure ments for ya.

Just dont keep the titan rims... its blastphomy

Cant wait for this one, 67-72's FTW!!!

Yeah - all these side projects are for one customer though. I do like making trucks more than cars - it's more fun plus they can go both off and on-road unlike the cars that are strickly for on-road.

I decided to take a break fom custom xmods after I finish my GMC and 2 other projects besides this one - it's seems that by me doing so much projects it's making some other members think that i'm a show off or something ( kinda like too much of good thing can be bad). They don't seem to understand that I make these because I like making them and i've gotten good at making them so it way too easy to do now.

So during that break from xmods i'll step it up abit and start 2 custom SSMT projects ( using the 1/43 axles and tranny). It should be pretty interesting then
