Ok so here we go! This is a sneak peak of my F-150 Monster Truck project, I was so happy with the new wheels I figured I would give you all an idea of where I am with it:

So the truck has:
* IROK Super Swampers
* Custom build axel stubs to give the required clearance
* Custom lift based off of my tutorial
* Custom wound 65K RPM Motor with neo mags
* RS lift kit
* RS Suspension
* RS AWD
* Lock Rear Diff
* RS High Torque gears
* Articulation modification
The body as you can see is a blue F-150 it has stock side skirts, chrome look front and rear bumpers, fog light front grill, the pickup bed is covered so I did a custom install of the light bar, I then took the side exhausts of the skirts and fitted them to the pickup cover.
Next is the paint job which will be coming from Bondo so this should be a killer monster truck when its finished.
wow so that thing is big. just about as big as the ram im workin on. urs is just a lil further along than mine. i have to do that axle mod tho i need it bad.

Well hard plastic will have more traction in soft conditions.
And soft plastic will have more traction in hard conditions.
I know sounds weird, but its real, just give your tire the opposite.
I have the IROK Super Swampers...
To sum it up...they are garbage, junk (that's me), and plain crap in comparison to Aoshima's.
They are VERY hard plastic...difficult to work with...and get no traction.
They are made for model trucks and not for actual performance. I had a huge dissapointment with those trying to go over short grass and a little bit of dirt in areas; with a lift kit, AWD, and an EVO S1 with neo's.
I don't like them...
But, quite cool looking. Be careful that you don't damage your axles doing that. I've done something of that sort and broke the axle cup along with bending a tie rod. :?
A lot of things will happen that you don't notice if you put a lot of strength on the axle cups...

The swampers are smaller but grippier. The Iroks aren't as good on road as they are on the dirt...but who would want to use them on the road?

Here is the tut. I reposted it here.
BG1, I know you've got a variation to my method, so feel free to post it on there to.
Thanks - never heard or seen of the aoshimas tires before today so I'll check them out! The IROK's are pretty cool! Lots of clearance and good grip if you want to climb over stuff and plastic enough to drift with which is good fun!
Surgeon is here
Looks pretty neat.
Though, do you have a set of aoshima 1/24 swampers? I heard the IROKs arent anywhere near as good as the aoshimas.

Nice idea of putting a car shock in the front. Makes it more realistic dont you agree? I gotta do that sometime
