where to?

Xmods are great, they're fast and handle impeckably well, but here's my question, the body kits are extremely low to the ground, and racing outside or on any surface that is not well prepared affects the handling greatly, can anyone reccomend a good place to go, or a good material to build a track that is not extremely $. Thanks,

Re: where to?

I built a skidplate for my Xmod out of the plastic package the battery charger came in. I have yet to test it outside due to this thing called "snow" and it's adverse effects on electronics, but I think I'll get an opportunity soon after it melts. :)

Re: where to?

Something else that may be a good idea is to create a skid plate for the bottom of the car... If you have been driving outside, the bottom of you car probably looks like mine, all scratched up... When I feel more motivated I will get the info for constructing a skid plate for the xmod.

(side note: I would like to see some sort of forum here for custom mods and designs. ty :) )

Re: where to?

Its definitely hard to find a good surface outdoors. Try a tennis court. That's about as good as it gets for a hard surface. Most good surfaces like ozite carpet are a little expensive.

Your best bet would be to find some old, used commercial carpet or something smooth you can paint. I've heard of people mixing fine sand with paint to make tracks for the Mini-Z.

You should also check some of the Mini-Z forums since they have the same issues.
