I'd like to correct myself. Hobbytown does not set up a make shift track, th track i meant was the one located in lincoln set up by hobbytown....
"my bad"
I want to know more info about the local tracks...i know there is one called "ONROAD" off of 58th street but when i cruzed the block, it was all residential and so i suppose its some guy's house. That could not be very big but might be big enough for x/z mini cars...who knows
Any input on local tracks required!
thanks,
-Alex
p.s. anyone know of a school with an empty room or an abandoned warehouse around town?
well, thats 5 from the Omaha area on this board alone, plus i know a lot of people with xmods and that scale cars.. i think that we just need to find a place that could do a Z/X track and get the push to set it up.. i dont know if anyone would even consider it, but damnit, i want a public track
Any tracks in Omaha or Nebraska for that matter are not catered to 1/28 xmods... HobbyTownUSA's make shift job that they sometimes put up is only for bigger cars and same goes for all the others...
Omaha, Ne. Wow. I never thought I'd find someone on these boards from Omaha...while i cant say that my car is ready to race, I'm sure something can be worked out...unless anyone in omaha is a mini z owner, then we could definantly do something because i will be getting a z shortly.
IM me on: ContrastExposure, and we can chew the fat and discuss stuff.
GTR: I am in the same boat.. Living in an apt, but i will be moving this spring and I will be making a track or two.. I would like to do it outside if possible on mine, and just put a cover over it (i am a full size car person too and i like garage space :) )
Sorry to get your hopes up but so far I have not heard of any Xmod races here in Nebraska but I did see some tracks for sale on e-bay. They are pretty expensive and a creative trip to Home Depot could probably create a track for half the price but the ones on e-bay are pretty slick, don't take up alot of space and have a changing layout!!(Sorry about the runon sentence). Later!--GTRmeASAP
P.S....If I ever get moved into a real house and out of this damn apartment, I will put a track in the garage and all of my fellow 'Husker Xmodders will be invited!
I am sure that the only reason that we got them is because RS is selling them nationwide.. Otherwise I guarantee that we wouldn't have them, never heard of Mini-Z's until I got into Xmods.
Do either of you know of any tracks in or around Omaha? I know that there is a slot car track in some mall in Lincoln, but it is pretty basic and I wouldnt want to run on it...

Maybe one of the larger Radio Shacks in Lincoln or Omaha will be able to host a race this spring or winter? Later.
I live in La Vista, Nebraska
