to start winding your own motors, i recommend getting a stock motor to start out with and just unwind the armature. While unwinding each stack, you want to count how many times you are unwinding it. I believe the stock is either 60 or 80 turns. I forgot since its been a while. Dont really remember anymore, but all you have to do is pretty much unwind all of the three stacks and start out wind winding each stack 49 turns each. make sure you wind each stack where it wraps nice and tight.. The higher the wind, the more torque, the lower the wind, the more higher rpm's. there's actually more to it in making a motor, but i think ive given a good idea for all of you to experiment and learn for yourselves.. :)

If you've got a 12T pinion, try shimming the motor up and use the blue gear (meant for the 11 tooth pinion)...since xmods don't make any gears above 11T

sure does :) your car does look pretty fast, about how fast iss it with your motor? also since I know you build motors, maybe you can help me out, I bought a 12 tooth pinion for my xmod, but I now need to find a gear for it, any suggestions?

I never said that my XMOD motors would go 45 mph on 4 cells.. that sounds too far fetched!! My old 8Cell Mini-Z Dragster may have went that fast or even faster, but never an XMOD yet.. Dont worry though, I will soon get there!! Actually, i dunno, I might be up there with my 6 CELL / Internal Fet Upgrade Dragster but dont think its 45mph yet. If I do create a setup for that speed and beyond, it will only be good for a few runs just like my 8Cell mini-Z Dragster where the motor will be burning hot or even smoking after a few speed runs.. Its just like the real NHRA Dragsters.. Their engines are only good for a few good runs.. When I do, Ill be sure to post another video here.. Hope this clears up the confusion!! :D

as i recall thats the video that Purespeed1 had me post for him.. however, I dont recall him ever proclaiming it to reach speeds of 45 mph
