today i had my own little horror story, i was testing a 6 cell mod on my nsx ( well i added 1 cr2 cell (3v)) but i connected it up and went to get the remote came back and the batteries were smoking, i had connected the battery in the wrong way.... thankfully nothing was damaged just the charge on the batteries was lost... o and the inside of my shell is now black

ok, so i am running 6 NiMH 1.2V 4 800Mah and 2 750 Mah. i have all upgrades except the bearings. So i am going like 15-20mph down the street, and since my car is so fast the back engine holder peice is cracking worse than an egg dropped from the empire state building so ii used my foam and superglue compsite. i holds nicely and my steering knuckles have it on too. they arent quite straight thouhgh. so the fster you go, the more unstable it is. i was trying to turn it back to me and it went the opposite way, 15-16mph head on into the curb. i now have 3wheel drive instead of allwheel drive, and it wobbles like none other. :( i need that aluminum part from atomic mods, but i dont feel like spending $40 bucks

ive hacked the screw head of my control and it wobbles now :oops:

so i put a normal screw in!! (a quicky job lol)

first day i got my xmod i took it out went then i had to go shopping but i stayed iin the car park to have a blast then my mam phoned me to come in so i drove my xmod in and it got ran over by a trolly(it was my mate) and i lost half my front bumper on my skyline :twisted:

Do you know the reason why they do this? Because they get paid to do so. Upon entering the store, you are supposed to be treated as a first time customer, so that's why. They're just merely doing their job.

i had just bought my evo stang with lights, susp and steering, and some wheels about a week before this happened. i am driving around at my local park which has a walking track. it is driving fine and all of a sudden, my grandmother comes by the park saying that everybody is going to the mall. i run in my room and grab my wallet. i go by the rs and buy a body kit for it. after putting it on, i go back to the park. it doesn't work right. when i turn the wheel right, it goes foward, when i turn it left, it goes in reverse. when i hit the throttle it putters foward. and when i try to go in reverse, it doesnt do a thing. i just go inside and get my other xmods remote.

i was trying to find out wi\hat went wrong with my 6 cell converson (see 6 cell nightmare) last night and gave up. i went back to the 4 cell and when doing that the servo wires came off 8O . put them on, went to drivers ed, came back 3 hours later, and poped in the batts. then i saw the one thing i was hopeing to never see again. smoke from the unit 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O :cry: :cry:. i SLAMED it to the table hoping to save my poor car but it was to late. one of the fets fried. :cry: i hate my life... :cry: :cry: :cry:

This sucks i had a hummer and it got were it would turn on so i got a f-150 (cheaper so i got it) and i put my lift kit and a buck of other stuff i took off hummer and put on f-150 wene i would put it on the ground i would just click and not move so i took all that stuff off and took to rs and got new one and the other 4 times i went back to get a new one so one day i looked at it seeing if i could see something wrong and then i noticed the dog bone was wierd i had put the dog bones that go in the front in the back and they were messed up now. so i got a new lift kit and it worked fine it sucked i went 4 times in 2 weeks!! And to top it all off i got a mustang evo and it only would go 5 feet so i took that back and got an infiniti and its works good (my f-150 is messed up only goes in reverse and will not go foward ive tryed different motors any body know the problem?)

at the radiloshack that i go to in the manhattan, the employees dont know shit about xmods or any of the things in the drawers at all. I wanted to know what capacitors do and they didnt know a f***ing thing, A guy who came in that didnt work there told me what they do, then the employee said "i learned something". I cant believe that none of them knew anything about soldering, etc. I know this really doesnt have anyrhing to do with xmods so far. They dont know anything about mostof the items there. Then they have the nerve to tell me that they dont have any LITERATURE(meaning no information to read) about the stuff in the drawers or anything that is of my concern.

since i kno the guy there i get the employee discount :D so i get the car and all upgrades and lights which only costed like 100 bucks so i get home and spend like 2 hours putting everything on and i decide to take it for a run i grab like 5 cardboard boxes and lay them flat on my room i go to shut my door cuz my dog likes to chase them and pick them up and scrach the hell outta them so im drifting the sh*t out of my new car then my dog comes in (forgot to check that the door was closed ALL the way) and he starts chasing it and before i can grab it WHAM he hits it with his paws and it flys of this ramp i set up and BLAM rite into my TV i start to go kick my dog rite before he picks the car up and he runs i fall on my a$$ from trying to kick him i chase him around my room trying to get my car back my dog drops it and it rolls down the stairs i shove my dog to the side and run down the stairs to get the car then my mom who isnt paying attention kicks it and it hits the wall i finally pick up my car and my body is totally Fu*ked up bumper HANGNG on by a screw windshied has a hole in it and hood is crack down the middle so now im going to RS to swap a body from a new lancer and get a new body kit for free :D lucky theres no damage to the inside

My friend put a 6th cell in his gen 1 and i asked him to do ming because he knows a little more about elctronics than i do, so i let him borrow it over the weekend and he put the 6th cell in it and on monday he gave it back to me. he didnt have time to test it so i put the batteries in it. i was driving it around slowly and we were very happy it ran. so i gunned it and it flew around our science class room. then the next thin i noticed was it was not running right. i picked it up and thought i had broken a cup, nope. then i rlized i had broken the diff. we both were puzzled.

another story was i let my friend take my camaro and we drag raced my truck to see which was faster and we built a jump at the end of the drag. we both hit at top speed and we broke the knuckle in half

i was racing my car in my garage, and this was a couple of days after i recieved alot of my alloy parts, and my car has liths. well anyways, i go about half throttle, then i start sliding, so i punch it, then it re grips, then the back end barley nicks the wall, and the rear diff cover shatters. i was like o crap! so i run over, worried about my alloy parts, then i look at the crash, and i see the back end, still together, all alloy ok, but no rear diff cover. it completly shattered. thats why i went alloy lol.

so ive never had a problem and get awsome advice, but he doesnt have anything close to a fission or better so he doesn't have lithium upgrade or stuff like that

i guess it just hardly cliped the nose of the NSX, but we thought it was doomed, the whole front body had smashed down, lookin fairly flat lol. a lil putty and black paint and that mirror mount hole is gone.

took a corner a little too hard, and hit a ridge full on. ended up snapping the steering joint on the chassis right in half.

i was driving in the parking spot where my sted dad parks in our garage and i found some wd forty so i sprayed it on the ground and my mom was fixing supper and i went into a power drift and over corrected so i slid sideways for about 12 feet and our garage door sensors are too low to sense and xmod and i had the garage door open a bit to let the heat out and my mom started closin it and i tried to brake really fast but CRUNCH it smashed by xmods body in the center busted the fram two ball cups jacked the servo and busted my shock absorbers hahah it sucked but i took it back to radio shack and they handed me a brand new mustang oh boy! funny thing is i just handed them the empty case heheh i still have the camaro and sold it for 45$ at a garage sale! :lol:

I was painting my G35 for the first time ever, and I couldn't understand the concept of a light coat. First I didn't mask off the windows, and I painted it yellow. Then I painted it black to hide the windows.
Anyway, I was in the midst of sanding the darn thing when lo and behold, a friend came. The friend had a grandkid (friend is one of my oldest teachers) who wanted to use my Xmods. So I let him borrow it. Ends up, he rammed into all the walls he could, ruining my body, and then breaking my antenna. Then he said he played gently with it and they left.
I went back and tried to wash it up, but the entire chassis was torn apart with wires ripped up. The servo was jammed, the car didn't work.

And that kid never even said sorry.
$60 hard-earned dollars down the drain, all for a few minutes of some kid's excitement.
Now I let no one touch my Xmods, except for 1 of my friends because he's going to get one also and is quite gentle with it.

Well, my story is kinda cause of my stupidity....I had left my shiny new painted black g35 body in front of the rims of my lancer that i was going to spray paint silver. I had very little left in my can so i tried shaking it. It kind of worked, but it splattered all over the place. I didnt care about the desk but it splattered on the freakin g35!! That was my best paintjob ever! :x So i tried to repaint it again. I washed it with soap and dried it. Then i masked everything up other than the windows, since i had also needed to paint that. I proceeded to paint. The front bumper turned out ok...but everything else turned out like crap. So i quickly tried to wash the paint off of the body. Well it didnt work. So i sanded the whole black coat off. I tried it again. It turned out all...messed up on the body...I tried to wash it off again...i just gave up. Stupid me kept on putting on thick coats....that was when i didnt kno what a "light coat" was... :cry: But now i have another sub par g35. Its white. But i cant get another body kit now. All rat shacks around here sold out of them. But other than that, ive only pulled a couple of wires here and there, and messed up some motors.

Now I have one about a mod that I just remembered.........

I was driving my mod on my street, basically stock, and it lost control and went onto a main route...and it was working again *WHEW* now, I was trying to drive it back to me, and while turning around, it goes out of range! I run forward about 10 steps, and nothing!!! THEN, at 50MPH a dump truck full of sand runs the STOCK xmod evo over!!!!!!!!! It basically was completely mangled! :cry: Everything junked! Too bad I'm too late for pics...it has been trashed........

The worst thing that ever happened...

I got an F-150 at around Christmas time, it was my first car, and I was wondering why it was having so many driving problems...so, I opened the case to the electronics board, and saw THAT IT WAS ALL BLACK AND BURNT! That is some pretty crappy service...I know it didn't HAPPEN to me, but it was a bad moment...

Ooooh...that was a bad one...

I bought some motor off of eBay and when I got it, it was FAST and I mean FAST, (I was willing to solder for my first time...yea...didn't work out)...I went to solder the wire to the solder point on the motor, and something happened to the soldering gun, and it melted the solder EXTREMELY FAST onto the motor and into the venting holes...OUCH!!! and I had my evo close by...and one of the knuckles got soldered basically...jammed...ouch again...

I've got other one's, but I've gotta run, hopfully that satisfied you!

i just finshed a paint job on my nsx drop top project and after it dried i took it outside to race around for a bit. what i did not know was that some of the paint was not dry so little tiny rocks got stuck to it. but then it happened. it rolled! top dry layer pealed off to reveal the wet layer and messed up the entire paint job. lucky for me i have a high presher hose and i washed off all of the paint, dry it, and repaint so i could take new pics for the site. *note to self wait 2 days to make sure car is REALLY REALLY dry before driving*

worst thing that happened to me was i was drivin the car around on the ferry car deck, i hit a bolt at top speed and the front bumper of the nsx came shooting off like it was fired from a slingshot.

well this isnt acually a horror storie but n-e ways i wus driving on my street wit my xmod and all of a sudden cars pull into the niehboorhood there wus a rock in back of the xmod so it wouldnt go backward so i decided to floor that bi*** i nearly missed the other cars tire by an inch...

eh i've got a new one..

I was in Pigeon Forge during Rod Run and was driving my Hummer around in the hotel parking lot. I figured since it survived being jumped over and over again for two days at the garage my dad works at, driving around in the snow, and being jumped off a steep stair case, that i could probably swamp through this grassy muddy wet puddle that was by the coke machine at the hotel. So i punched it and then i hit the puddle. My hummer went to a dead stop in the middle of the puddle. So i pushed it to try to get it through(lol. how stupid of me) and it was completely dead. So i took it up to the room, took off the ep cover and pulled the board away from the chassis and let it dry. About 3 hours later, i come back and hook up the liths, turn the controller and then the car on. A flame literally shot out of the FET's. I immediatley turn it off and take the board cover off. Sure enough my board was fried. So there was no more offroading for the whole weekend, then i ended up cracking a knuckle on my skyline and breaking an AWD dogbone on my mustang the next day.
But eventually i ordered a new ep off ebay and found a few motors that i tested out, but i've decided on getting a different motor offline for my Hummer. And i fixed the broken knuckle and replaced the shaft once i got home..so everything is good now..

yea, i'm preety bored, only reason i posted it...

I let my friend drive my Firebird EVO the day I got it and he drove it out in the street. I screamed at him to stop and he was being a smartass and just stopped hte car and didn't bring it back. Before I knew it a minivan just went right over the little car without even touching it. That moment kind of gave me a reality check and a big scare.

A few days later I was just driving it around my kitchen and hit a wall pretty lightly (I've seen a lot worse without incident). The XMOD just stopped working all of a sudden and I realized that only one wheel was moving. So the other day I decided to take it to my little workshop and see what the problem was. I figured something just came loose and I could fix it easily. I took the rear end apart and saw that one of the wheel axel balls completely broke in half. In the meantime I just did a 6 cell conversion and am awaiting the new complete rear end (minus motor).

But my Gen 1 Skyline has been great since i got for Xmas 4 years ago.

The day I bought my XMOD (x-mas 2005), the store manager was being boastful of XMODS. He said that they go fast, but the XMODS in the store were out of batteries. Later, when I bought a stage 2 motor upgrade (for Gen1 only, I later returned them), he said there wasn't a bathroom. At the time, I was bike riding with my mom on the weekend, and she had to "go" really bad. She used an "employees-only" bathroom without a sign after that same manager said that there WASN'T a bathroom! He said that it was for employees AFTER she used it. I don't like that guy, and neither does my dad...

I was running my skyline up the main hall at my High School. I went down the handicap ramp, as I drove by the library one of the principals walked out and cought me. My car was taken but I got it back and drove it in the gym. :lol: :lol:

i never had a problem with a RS employe never. i always go to my sister and they no me or at the depford or echelon mall and they dont no me but still are cool. They no xmods. atleast were i live

My story is that when I got my XMod, Acura RSX I got it out fixed it up and was playing with it and it just died. I tried new batteries but it still didn't run. I take back to RS and sure enough no RSX's. i buy a Honda Civic right and I take my d :twisted: rive shaft out of my oldSX and everything works out in the end.

well, all xmods gen 1 parts are discontinued. even replacement upgrades adn other misc items are disctontinued also. the only way to get your hands on a gen 1 is if they have any gen 1 returns that you might be able to buy from the store, or any left over gen 1 upgrades. the only parts you can get for xmods are evo parts, and the have to be d2u. they have a list of parts in a catolog we have in our store, but only our manager can order them, now that they have changed everything, atleast in our district.
