Hey guys i would like to know what are the best rechargeble aaa batteries that u can use for ure xmod
ty :P
I run 950 Mah.

Just a $0.01 on ebay and around $15.00 shipping from Hong Kong. They work great and charge fine in my 15 minute charger.
hey for everyone in vancouver, i know the kerrisdale london drugs carries 900mah batteries, pack of 4 for like $12 CAN!!! thats pretty sweet...i wasted my $30 on a set of duracell 900mah..sucks for me...
I dunno, it seems that my 550 Rat shack batteries have more punch off the line but my duracells get better top speed, could i be imagining this??
20 hours is a long time to wait for any thing much less batteries. what do you do when racing?
Duracell makes AAA recahargeables in different mah and i have the 950 on a 15min charger. 2 sets will last forever.
I have a plasmatomic motor and can run about an 45min to an hour with good speed and accel. after that its time to recharge.
i have now only 2GP 700 and 2GP 850
works great for about 30+ min. (best for the first 15 min)
it takes 20hrs to charge with my old charger.
but at least it keeps me from playing with the car all the time.
:D
Rayovac IC3...800mah...15 mins recharge with the charger
To me they pack more punch than regular nimh batts
1000mah batteries are usually sold as digital camera batteries.. and are listed as being able to maintain power for high current devices
1000 mAh usually (not always) means that the steady discharge rate isn't quite as high as, say, an 850mAh duracell.
I can run about 45 minutes on my 1000mah
and on my 700mah about 35....
I dont think it runs faster with the 1000mah,
I thought since the steady discharge rate is higher at 1000mah,
then at 700mah, (could be terrible wrong, please correct me)
it just runs cooler, wich pays of in a little more tracktime in my case...
...
Or i just have a few really crappy 700Mah cells....
dont think u would need higher mah for tv remotes.. 1000mah batteries are usually sold as digital camera batteries.. and are listed as being able to maintain power for high current devices.. which is why for my ipod speakers i bought the 2100mah video camera batteries.. since its a high power drain device when i turn them up ... and they still last very long time.. vs regular type batteries.. not sure if anyone has tested this theory or not..
1000 mAh usually (not always) means that the steady discharge rate isn't quite as high as, say, an 850mAh duracell. the 1000mAh batteries are better for low-current applications like TV remotes or the like.
i personally have a set of 750mAh duracells and i'd recommend those batteries to anyone, they have a decent run time (35 minutes with stage 2) and are very punchy.
Havn't try them, but know there good. (1000Mah is good)
You could charge them with any charger for AAA cells.
Just check how much Mah your charger gives....
Ie. A 500 Mah charger will take 2 hours and 12 minutes
to charge 1000mah cells (when there completely empty)...
Charger Mah : Batt Mah=....+10%=Charging Time.
ie.
500mah : 1000mah = 2 (hours) + 12 = 2hrs 12 Minutes
/\
(10% of 120minutes = 12 minutes)
Hope i'm clear, find this kinda things quit hard to explain in english....
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/product-description/B000066PGS/ref=dp_n...
anyone here try these?? and can they be charged in the radio shack chargers?? hoping someone here has tried this.. dont wanna waste loot on new charger if they all are interchangeable.. Thanks
Anyway,
well i just got some rechargable batteries 10$ and they work great
There Pure Energy XL-DIGITAL Nickel Metal Hydride and they work well with my charger.i took me 30 mins to charge em when complitly dead. there 1.2 v and 750 mah and one night i forgot to turn off my xmod and then they still had a bit of juice in em. :D :D
Glad you found some batteries that suit your needs. But you left them in your car all night? I'm suprised your car still works! Have fun with your batteires... 8O
MOD EDIT: Post removed for flaming.

Higher volts make it hotter though
(and hotter doesnt mean overheating!),
ie. a 6 cell car will be hotter than a 4 cell car...
But going up in Mah ?
That should just prelong tracktime, and mayby increase power a little bit,
wich in his way will cause so more heat...ie. the motor runs a little faster,
making more heat....but overheating caused by to high Mah???
ok i know for a fact that 6 cell is hoter than 4 by a long shot.
And what does this have to do with your post that 1000 mAh cells are dangerous?
Andrew_young? How old are you? 5? What hell are you talking about?
Think b4 you post. Well mongo i guess you have a new hamster

Best rechargable batteries?why lithiums of course.
He asked which rechargable AAA batteries are best...

[quote:49542934cb="jimmyznutz"]I use the Duracell 900mah rechargables on a 15min. charger. Excellent run times and short charge times. Not to mention they are 900mah vs. the 850mah most rechargables have.
Here is a test chart I found based on 4 different battery sets. Thanks to "Magic Man" from Mini-ZRacer!
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f198/MagicManRed/Mini-Z%2000/Graph.jpg
In light blue: Intellect
In Light gray: IC3
In Light green: Duracell
In Light orange: PN Racing
These results were based on homemade discharger, not an Xmod or Mini-Z.

If anything, higher mAh would make it run cooler, since a higher mAh can make it have a lower or slower discharge rate.

the 1000 mahs are dangerous they cause a lot of over heating so use a good heat sink so you dont mess up your moter and 6 cells are even hoter.
Huh?
How can a battery with a higher mAh rating than others cause overheating? Explain how you came up with this. :?
I am using the Energixers 850MaH they work really good last a good time and i can charge them in under three hours.

Try to get the,
1000Mah 1.2V AAA Cells from
COMPIT GmbH (Order No. 5000213)
You can order them here...
http://www.compit.biz
I can get them here (Netherlands) at any comp.store, there a little
expensive though (Eur 14.95 for 4)
but they charge quick, and have a hell of a load for NiMH's...
That would be my advise....

ok here is my .02 there are differnt volts on the batters 1.2 is the normal but there is 1.5 out there and maby more. If you were going to run 6 cells your max volts on a stock fet is 7.4 volts so if you got the 1.2 volts 6 cell would work because 6, 1.2 cells is 7.2 volts under 7.4. And if you got 1.5 or higher it wouldn't work because 6, 1.5 are 9 volt way over its a bad idea.
The majority of rechargables are 1.2V or 1.25V. Only the crappy rechargable alkalines are 1.5 (Stay away from these). There is no AAA battery out there with more than 1.5V. If you see one that looks the same size as a AAA with more volts, then its not truely a AAA battery.
Go with the XMOD battery kit for cheap, good batteries with a so-so charger. Or get Eneergizer IC3's that can be charged in 15 minutes.
Some sites sell high end batteries just for RC cars, you will pay a little extra for those for a little extra performance.
Any Ni-MH AAA battery setup will work just fine.

There are lots of choices...it really depends on how much you're willing to spend. I've had good success with GP line of aaa's as well as some Sanyo and no name Chinese cells. Look around some E retailers for RC specific aaa's...they offer good run times and good discharge.
energizers work well
sounds like a treat, lets see some

I have been using Lenmar 1000mAh AAA. Inexpensive at $15 for a 10 pack. Good discharge rate and good power for the cars.
We have also developed a great charging system. We took a MCP Super Brain charger (found at hobby shops and mostly used for RC airplane charging), then we took a 3/8" plumbing pipe and cut 5 tubes of equal length that will hold 4 batteries in each tube. On one end of the tubes we us a thin peice of metal and attach springs. then drop batteries into each tube press on the batteries and mark a spot on the tube. Then we drilled holes in the other end of the tubes and run another flat piece of metal. connect the positive clip to the top metal and the neg. clip to the bottom metal. Presto! you can charge 20 batteries at a time. takes about 30 minutes. I purchased 40 AAA recargeables. we have race night once a week. I can go for 4-5 hours racing. I get tired before i run out of batteries. If you want me to take pics and detail this more, let me know and I will expand on this thread.
Higher mah *should* equal longer runtime, not necessarily greatest speed. I use a 2400mah battery in my airsoft rifle, it certainly lasts longer than say an 1800 would.
Diamond: I sent you a PM a day or two ago you haven't read yet, check your messages! :P
Energizer e2 Rechargeable AAA (4 pack) 900mAh.
Suppose to be made for hard working devices.
Seem to work really well in the xmod.
Not necessarily with xmods. 1000 MAH will give you a low discharge rate, and longer running. So you will end up with a slower xmod, but it'll last longer.
Probably the kind with 800-1000 MAH, whatever that means. Anyway, my dad (the tech wiz in our house) knows that the 1000 MAH batteries are the BEST. In other words, they have a lot of capacity for voltage. For example, comparing 700 MAH batteries to 1000 MAH batteries is like comparing a floppy disc to a hard drive, or a glass to a BIG gas tank.
i purchased 8 energizer rechargables from wally-world, and, they last quite a long time on my 6cel evo and truck.
Vancouver? Coquitlam here!!

I think what Color0 is referring to is the consistancy of the discharge rates. I own these Venom Racing 1200mah cells, and their discharge rates are not so consistant. In order to have a good racing car, consistancy is the key, as well as many other things.
