want to rase your truck but have no bushings? do you have an old tool box full of old rc parts? this is the right mod for you!
for this mod you will need:
3 rubber servo mounting pads, 6 washers that are small but big enough so they dont go over the mounting posts
3 extra long screws (3 to 6 cm shoud work)
a screw driver
and the xmod truck body!
NOTE! you will have to make a mount for the frount! how you make it is how you want to!
first take the mount off the body.
after you get the mount off take the 3 screws and put them in the holes.
then take 3 or the 6 washers and put them on the screws.
next take the rubber surveo mounting pads and put one on each screw.
then put the last 3 washers on each of the screws.
next with the screws up hold the screws in place and lower the body on to them.
one screw at a time tighting them just a little so they hold them selves in.
the tighting then up so that they are just tight enough to hold the mount on tight but not to tight. if you push on the mount you should get a little spring action out of the rubber mounting pads. this will make it so the body takes a little less of a shock when the truck hit something hard.
you may have to make a custom mount to hold the fount down. i used a mount from an old rc that uses a body post and body clip.
now your done!
the truck is lifted and it has more lift then a normal single bushing lift! and you dont have to scrap your gen 1 xmod for its bushings!
have fun!
hey ashrimp thats a really good idea put some washers on the screw and put the spring over it and you can adjust ride height img onna go do that! thanks!
that is what this one dose to. but you cant adjust it alot.
IMO extra red springs work better. You can adjust the height just be twisting/untwisting a screw.
