Without using GPM and/or alloy, I can help you find some working, durable nuts for your XMOD! First, look around in your garage/basement/attic/ storage place for nuts. When you find all of them, sort them by shape, size and thread numbers. If any of them have labeled boxes, put them in a seperate container from everything else. If you see any nuts that have the numbers "2-56 X 3/8" in there, try fitting them to your XMOD, using a pair of needle-nosed pliers to hold one and put it in your XMOD wrench. If it goes in without a hitch, you have the right size. Now, see if it goes on your XMOD without any fuss of damage. This will take many tries, but I did it, too! Also, see if the brand name is "Bracket shop" or something like that, I just found this thing in my dad's garage. He didn't write it down, somebody at his workplace probably did, and he got it from them. The whole top of the container reads:
"2-56 X 3/8 5oc-cap
nut small
Bracket shop"
...and that's all it says.

do u know what niy lock is? if u dont it is the little pice of niline in the nut (mostly seen in 1/10th scale rc race car). what it dost it it will hold it self on to the bolt better then it would if it had no niy lock. in other words it helps hold the nut on better......

I just put a piece of tape on the end of them for a little while when I was driving around and then the tread locked.

Threadlock is like a goo which takes up the space between the nut and thread, so that it stays on. Look for Bluejack's thread.. its somewhere around here..

They do because the idea has been around for a while. Good idea for sure...you'll need to secure them with thread lock when you get a higher powered car. :D
