just go to radio shack and get a battery holder and some extra wire, if you want, but you get about three inches red and black comin out of it, so you should be fine with that
if youre making it a five cell, just make it like you did the 6 cell, but instead of adding a two battery holder, hack it in half. you could get the plugs if you want to mount the battery holder to your shell, like in the tutorial, but thats up to you if you want to spend the extra money.
if you intend to have a two cell holder that you can detach then yes you do need some sort of plug. Dean's micros work well and, as long as it's soldered correctly, there is no way you can mess up polarity by plugging it in wrong.
Normal rechargable batteries are rated at 1.2 volts under load and have a mAh rating which tells you how long they run for...750mAh would generally last 45 minutes on a 1 Amp draw rate.
Alkalines do not have the requisite ability to run under load for an extended period...you get 5 minutes, tops.
thats great because I'll be going to radio shack some time this week :D :D

How do you figure the volts for each battery?
I am using energizer rechargeables.
You really should invest in some rechargable batters. They out perform alkalines by far.
yea ull fry ur bored the normall borad holds 7.4 if ur lucky 8 but ull have like 1 sec of run time
He's most likely using alkalines.
No don't do it, your car will ost likely blow up, or at least sizzle and smoke.
either just do a 5 cell or get some rechargeable batteries.
were are you getting 9 v out of 6 cell?
