I've created custom spoilers out of balsa wood. Now, i know wht you re thinking "it's too fragile""it'll break on the first rollover""it wont paint well" ect. To remedy this problem, i simply coated the spoiler in nail glue and let it dry. the glue creates a hard slick surface, perfect for painting without the wood soaking it up. Pics to follow.
Um, archetecture and engineering. Drafter, prototyper....

thanks, ya'll :D ! I'll get some prototypes out ASAP (with real pics this time)

If he can make that and make it look decent, he should charge YOU $5 for letting you look at the picture of such a fine spoiler.

Because I'm lame and ghetto and like nail glue. And, about the pics, I have to convince my Drafting teacher to let me laser out a new one. I broke my first one when i was assembling it, before i applied the coat of nail glue.
Edit: Here's a prototype of my first one (ignore the holes at the top)
Lets see some pics!
But Nail Glue? why not just coat in in a thin layer of bondo?
Later,

dude nice im gunna have to try that cuz mine broke when i was drifting and the car fliped
Not a bad idea. Easily manipulated and contoured, plus feather light, balsa could be a good choice. I guess the whole issue is whether the coating or strengthener you apply will deal with abuse. Looks like its time to raid the GF's nail polish basket for some diamond-hard laquer.
Thanks for the tip, black_mustanggt. - mech
