Got my Motorcycle liscense the other weekend and now I'm looking at bikes for the near future. I'm currently riding my brothers Suzuki SV1000S. I'm looking for something different, confortable, and affordable. So don't go posting "Get a Ninja" or "A Hyabusa"

Here are some link's to my choices.

Re: Help chosing a motorcycle

I love Buell's. They look insainly sweet and have great tourque. Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you came out ok.

Yeah, like I said before....no Hyabusa's or Ninjas. There fine bikes....but expensive and different from what I'm looking for.
I would like to look at the Harley more, it's only about 10k....which is in the same price ballpark as the other bikes. Plus, it looks pretty sweet.
But there comming out with a new V-Max in a year.....so....

A friend of mine recently took one of the harley's out and said he was very impressed! I used to own a buell before my motorcycle accident, and from what i have seen harley makes an awesome product... bit more pricey sometimes...

Depends on the kind of riding you want to do. I ride a Honda VTX1800R and I absolutely love it. Been going stir crazy not being able to ride every day...

Or you could get one of these...

Re: Help chosing a motorcycle

I think the R6 is the best 600 hand's down! Have fun with that! I also considered the naked Yamaha FZ1....but it's ergonomic's are a bit to leaned forward I think. I'll have to sit on one to see though.

THe KTM SUpermoto's are insainly sweet!! There tourque curqe is like being punched in the stomach by Mike Tyson. They won't bite your ear off though.

As far a sperformance goes.....the V-Max is the fastset of the bunch. I think the Triumph is the more origional and less seen on the road, and the Harly looks to be the best compromise between sporty and cruser. Plus that particular Harley comes stock with high flow head's and performance cam's.

I'll just have to make a few dealer trip's too see what fit's me best I suppose.

I like Harlys, and I like the Yamaha too. But out of those, I'd have to choose the Triumph hands down.

good luck

Re: Help chosing a motorcycle

For looks alone out of those...Suzuki hands down.

Performance wise...haven't got a clue.

I'm still trying to convince my wife to let us get KTM SuperMotos. Imagine me in an urban area with a 900 supercross bike with slicks on. 8O
