What is going on with this thread....all this talk of stuff being done but no proof, I'm starting to believe Junk called it right back on page one.

Don't EVER buy Integy aftermarket parts.

Quallity sucks, it's true for all cars, from Micro's to Nitro MT's. Also, Hot Racing is said to have similar, bad quality.

Re: Xtreme mini t project

I've joined the ranks of brushless mini-t owners a little while ago. I usually run a 2 cell lipo with a 6800KV motor. These two bits give the mini-t enough speed but still remain controllable while having a blast at the same time. :)

That comes to an 18amp discharge rate...pretty low comparitively speaking. Make sure you set your esc to low startup power.

That seems like an awful low mah. Won't you have super short run times especially with brushless?

Let's see some pics of the truck so far. I'm really curious how it looks.

Re: Xtreme mini t project

Do you already have lithium installed in the truck? Can you get some pics up? I have this trucks little brother and would like to see some of the 1/18 scale.

You mentioned getting a Micro-T and putting a brushless in it, I think that would be totally pointless. In all the research I've done on Micro-T forums everyone who has done that has regretted it for many various reasons and said you're better off with the Atomic BB motor and lipos.

Re: Xtreme mini t project

im going to order a dynamite c4 9200kv brushless motor and a dynamite mini tazer brushless esc this weekend
but i also have to save money for parts in my real truck so thatll probably be all i buy for now till next paycheck but i might spring for a smaller rx than the one i have or i might buy some titanium and alloy drive train upgrads and cvds
oh ya i also got a mini baja body in today and painted it but Am.com was out of the extended body posts so im gotta stop by lhs and get some and a brushless motor there if they have any i like and maybe some new wheels illl post some pics soon of it

Re: Xtreme mini t project

Well, I hope you're prepared to buy more motors in the future.

I thought I made myself fairly clear when i mentioned that higher KV motors cannot handle extreme voltage inputs...you will delaminate the coil/rotor of the higher kv motors on a 4 cell setup.

As for tutorials on my chassis brace, it's all about making your own template out of cardboard then transfering that information onto whatever material you're using. Simple as that.

Re: Xtreme mini t project

Actually, you can feasibly use a 4 cell li-po on a Mamba 25. It is not recommended for the 8000KV motor though...too much rpms and you'll blow it to bits. CC does not cover under warranty any voltage over 11.1 volts....that's the confusion about using 4 cells.

The world speed record for an 18th scale (rc18t with aero body)used a 4 cell li-po and Mamba 6800kv to acheive 76.9MPH.

Junk, I'll search around to see if i can find my "Uber-T" thread and give you an update.

Well on a mamba max you can use 4s if you use a ubec.

Re: Xtreme mini t project

Well, since I'm one of the Mini-T modders around here I can tell you a couple things...

1. Don't buy Integy aftermarket parts.
2. If you're going 3 Cell Li-Po and 8000kv Mamba you'll need a lot of work done on the drivetrain and you're going to break a lot of parts.
3. Next time, check out rcmart for selection as opposed to atomicmods...the prices are better, IMO.

Have fun with yours...I've had a lot of fun with mine.
