What's the world record for 1/16th?

I'm wondering what the world record is for 1/16th scale...

I don't want to make it a part of this post...but if its a reasonable speed, I might go for it.

I have a Mini Inferno...brushless...that's all that needs to be said.

Anyone know?

Right now I have mine going about 45mph.
It sits very nicely on the ground.

It's weighed down, too...it's not a light car.
Also...not to bring back a horrid topic; but the 'wing' on here actually would push it down at those speeds with that kind of wind.

I don't think I'll be going for any records, but I'll get mine going fast. :)

At those speeds you might as well do a custom pan-car-type chassis that fills out the body, and then you need a good 'wedge' shaped body to hold it on the ground. They said in the article that the car lifts too much, but then there's tire ballooning..

1/18th top speed right now is 70mph...but that's 1/18th (Mini-T's...).

I'm not sure, but I think it was about 80mph with a (I think) a mini-t. It was in RCCA's World's Fastest RC last year, but I'm not quite sure. I can look it up later in the week when I'm at my Mum's..
