I have heard they were back and just checked and what I heard was true. They have the same old buggy and truck bodies but they are $10 cheaper and come with more stuff.

The truck now comes with extra pinion and spur gears, the trunbuckle and rod-end set, another set of stock tires, CF drive shaft, diff covers, and chassis brace. 8O

The buggy has the gears, driveshaft, diff covers, chassis brace, street wheels and tires, extra shock towers, extra body clips, and the body posts for the buggy and truck bodies.

Im not that happy with the dual set-up. Mostly becasue its may too much power for the space I have. And my suspention dampers are messed up and it doesnt handle worth a darn. Im thinking about going back to single motor. Has plenty of power and makes the truck more controllable.

Do you like the dual motor set up?

Re: Pro-Pulse back at Radioshack

There is almost no difference between the truck and buggy other than the body and tires.

Re: Pro-Pulse back at Radioshack

Before I ruined my bearings (my fault) the only thing I broke was the bumpers, and the front shock tower. Otherwise, the things were very durable.

I have yet to break anything while driving it. They are surprisingly durable. But I have heard that the dogbones break easily and there can be diff trouble. I do have the diff trouble but thats from me messing with them too much. It was my first hobby grade so I didn't take proper care of it.

Megatech did make a full aluminum conversion kit for the propulse but I don't know now. Since radioshack stopped selling it for a while, and megatech when on their own selling the propulse, they may have changed manufactures or quit making it.
It was an online only deal and it was $130. But it included aluminum everything except the chassis plate, diffs, and center chassis brace I think. So in one box you go from all plastic propulse to full aluminum propulse.

I havent had a chance to look at my local RS, but I may end up buying one. Still dont know which one to get though.

To the people who have them--what are some common parts that break often/easily? People do make alloy parts for these right?

I thought the first ones were like $150-$199 when they first came out? Did the first ones include the battery pack/charger?

They were almost immediately "marked down" to $99 (it's a cheap marketing trick) and the battery and charger were $30.

According to the RadioShack website, neither come with the 7.2V battery pack nor a battery charger. So, there goes another $50. If that's the case, they are more expensive than the first, although there are some upgrades from the first.

Re: Pro-Pulse back at Radioshack

I was interested in these a while back.

Which one would you guys prefer? Im not looking for anything in specific, besides just going fast. I just want something new to work with.

Re: Pro-Pulse back at Radioshack

That's certainly a much better deal than before.

I really should rebuild my Propulse for this winter, or just buy a new one.
