I'm gonna do a slow build up of this, kinda mimicking Color0's Subaru. Minus the body. Same servo, Micro-T Board, Custom Motor, GPM Driveline, carbon shaft, general stuff, but I want a propo car.
I'm not sure if I'm gonna go with a Yellow NSX body or the Black Skyline. Both will fit the yellow/black theme.
EDIT: He, he forgot the pics. Just a few until I get some bearings for it:

Oh, and what's wrong with this picture?

For those that are wondering, here's my inspiration on this one...*
http://www.xmodworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=16078&...
Similar design, but a diffrent body, and a diffrent board. Gonna get the servo mounted later, then it's just to get the final quote and adress from XCRL and I can send of the EP... and the motor. And I emailed CXP about the Sway Bar, AM has bearings again... But I need another Micro-T board, and my CF Shaft and Bearings.. Almost done now. If I order the parts, it's in the home strecth!
To-Do List:
-- Order Stuff from AM
-- Ship EP to -XCRL-
-- Mount Servo
-- Figure out servo horn
-- Test Voltage on Batteries
-- Extend Travel on Rear Arms (need to find my tut, can't remember how)
-- Measure out distances for wires
-- Find my extra Dean's
-- Order my eXo-T from Ripper
-- Get another Micro-T Board**
* Yes, I actually used search, for once!
** Naturally I still want my Micro-T to run
*** Pictures of the final mock-up later!
Yes, I'm intrested in a whole (used, and WORKING) micro-t, or just the EP and Servo, if it's under $40, and you have a good rep!
Ive seen those, but never really thought of them as use full. You loose all up and down motion...

As for the sway bar, are you talking like conventional car sway bars? You know the |___| shaped. Why not bend one out of a paper clip for this scale? Just get one of those thicker ones, and it aught to be plenty large for this scale.
Have you seriously not seen the sway bars CXP made for the rear of the Gen1's? When one wheel get's pressed up, the other get's pressed down. Really helps for grip (and keeps the car from rolling) and is good for drifting as well...
Gonna the Micro-T EP of the XCRL when I get some more money (gotta see what mum got me for my bday), contact CXP and get some sway bars (I want athentic ones) and order my charger and stuff from AM...Anyone know of a cheap place for (GOOD) bearings?
VXP bearings?

You could probably do those crown stencils yourself, they don't look too difficult.
If anything, since you're going with the "yellow and black theme" use the NSX body, and just paint some stripes or tribal stuff on it to have some black accents. Since your suspension arms are already a funky color yellow, leave them like that.As for the upper-deck, make it look clean. I'd stick with Cabon Fiber all the way around. I like things to flow, not...clutter up. Aluminum and CF wouldn't really go well in my opinion. Especially for upper decks.
I'm thinking of sending it to blown, just a simple paint job.. Black top/roof, and I want the three crowns on the hood... Like so:

I'll probably go with the CF, save the alluminum for another car...

Go for the NOS, it looks better.
Sooo...
instead of using a Skyline or a NSX, you went with the easy choice.
Neither.
damn, sweed, you should be in politics.
I might vote for you.
And you guys thought I would use a skyline body... Actually, I'm not quite sure...
Right now I'm working on how/were to mount the Micro-T board, and I need to read up on how to convert the micro-t board to use a three wire servo.
But, I have it as a roller now. Just need to order stuff when I get back, get another HS-55 (and find the first one...), and put everything together. Below's a list of mods to it, and what I need to order from AM. Why AM? Always get the right parts, at the right time, on time...
Mod to the Car:
-- Wide Track Bearings
-- Stage 2 Yellow Motor (fitting..)
-- 18 Gauge Super Flex Wires
-- CF Drive Shaft
-- Carbon Fibre Rear Deck
-- CXP "NOS" Front Deck, Matte Black*
-- Atomic Lock Nuts
-- HS-55 Steering Servo
-- Micro-T Reciever/ESC
-- GPM Billet Front Knuckles
-- GPM Full Driveline
-- Possible Mini-Z Style Springs
*Should I do the Chassis Upgrade CF Deck or the Custom NOS Deck?

Aaaah, sweed, another build off, I presume. I'm building up a gen 1 pan/carpet racer. We'll see who takes this one. I got a bunch of parts ordered from Atomic Mods, etc.Later,
RedSXmodder
Another build off? This isn't gonna get started until August.. Just get parts together...
I have a project (when I get around to it..) for a MA010.. I want it to take curves on asphalt at 40mph.....

[quote:3527b5faf6="Donziikid"]Human torture; so we'll lose hindsight of you actually starting a project, and trying to complete some of it before you leave to go to Europe sometime this summer, and never finishing it when you get back. Other than that, the pictures just all askew and I'm to stupid to figure it out. :)
It's not gonna be done before Tuesday. I need a Micro-T Board, and Have no money... So it will wait with my Revo. I just want it up to the point were I can drop bearings in, a CF Shaft, and the electronics..
[quote:3527b5faf6="Donziikid"] Had to pull your leg, 'Sweed. Windows are masked, so something leads me to believe there will be a body customization as well as a chassis adjustment.
But only some window's are masked. It was destined to be painted, but I'll probably leave it. Unless Blownxmod is still painting bodies, then I want a Flame Skyline like.... Who was it?
It will most likely be a chassis adjustment... But there might be body mods, just not to the Skyline. Looks too go black.
[quote:3527b5faf6="Donziikid"]We'll see what happens. Don't let us (you) forget about this one.
I'm not. It will get done. I just need two months to up my money, I'm dead broke (have $8 for the week), and I owe my sister a $30 dock for her ipod.

The All Killer, No Filler CD is pretty good, and so is Chuck. Not a fan of the song that was playing...

Color0's Subaru?? :?
The Revo and the 3.3 are backwards.

classiclover you idiot, you edited your post
poster is reversed.
-XCRL- has half of my board done, he just has to do the other half, I need to pay for it, have him ship it back and then I can drive it. I'll have a video when we get to that point.
But I've fixed the Binding Problem (took it apart and put it together like six times) and I have my NSX (was the "Twin", a black skyline) but I want two matching yellow cars...
The NSX has the stock wheels, but they're painted Tamiya Metalic Black, cuase it looks good and it's shiny. Chassis/Body Shots below.
those last 2 (taken on the hood of a car?) look really sweet. those would b sweet teaser photos. theres really nothing wrong with the stock paint. i though it was a good color. id say try and get a body kit 4 it. then worry about makeing custom body peices. i think that civic had a v2 board and a 180 motor if im not mistaken. i guess it did roughly 30 mph. ill try and find a pic.
13v on a stock car?
Small update with just the pictures. Nothing new, just parts installed, and black mirrors on the skyline. I think it looks pretty good. I might make lips for the front and sides of the car, and paint them black when I have time..
I really like the color on this car!
Oi, more photo's:

how much you spending on the project? 8O
Got my parts today! I never noticed the Yellow Skyline was light yellow flake, but it still looks cool!
I got:
Yellow Skyline Body
Black Skyline Mirrors (last set they had!)
Kyosho 2mm Lock Nuts
Wide Track Bearings
Gen1 Shielded Bearings.
I'll have an update with the stuff installed in a few hours. Got stuff to do. First day of school was today, and I need to get a hair cut..
I don't like the mono-shock that much becuase it's harder to do right, and it doesn't work as good...
Haven't really udpated in a few days...
Here's a link to the write-up I'm doing on converting a Gen1 to Micro-T EP:

*Please don't reply until it's done..
Anyways, here's some pictures of the final mock up. If I get to the LHS today, I'm gonna get servo tape and another Micro-T Board...
