battery and charger question

i have just ordered two xmods for me and my daughter for christmas and need to know what would be the best bet for battery and charger? i used to race 1/10 scale rc cars a few years ago and had to quit because of the cost. just found out about xmods and would like to find some kind of fast cheap charger. i really dont want to wait for two hours for the batteries to charge. any ideas.

XMODS use 4 regular Ni-MH rechargable AAA's. The price for chargers and batteries varies greatly depending on quality.
You can buy batteries and chargers that are designed to be charged in 15 minutes, it has been a while since I looked at cost, but it was around $30 I believe. Radio Shack used to sell IC3 batteries, these are the ones designed to charge in 15 mintes.
Other battery types can be charged in this charger, just not in 15 minutes. The charger can detect if that batteries are IC3's.
Other types of rechargebale take 1 to 2 hours to charge. YOu may want to get 2 sets of batteries for each car, one to run with while the other set is charging.
