I thought this would be some useful info, for those who dont know how to paint a car. I will try and get step by step pics up soon. So here we go.

HOW TO PAINT YOUR CAR

Step 1: Gather all materials (below).
1. Sandpaper (800-1000 Grit Reccomended)
2. Car Body
3. Primer
4. Your color of paint you wish to use
5. Clear Coat (optional)
6. Masking tape (2 inches works well for windows)
7. Glue (optional)
8. X-Acto Knife

Step 2: Prepare Body for paint.
1. Mask off windows
2. Mask off any other things you dont want painted (ex. grills)
3. Mask off Headlights and Taillights or pop them out with a screwdriver. To pop them out, scrape off the dots of glue that came stock on your body for headlight and taillight poles with the screwdriver. Then, push until you hear the pole pop out. Repeat for however many poles there are for your headlights and taillights.
4. Remove all body parts (ex. front bumper)
5. Prop the body up in any way that will make you feel more comfortable with the paint job. (Completely Optional)

Step 3: Sanding.
1. Get out your sand paper.
2. Start sanding the body and body pieces.
3. Once you think the body and body pieces are nice and smooth, stop.

STOP!!! Now youre going to take your can of paint thats the main coat and let it sit in room temperature water for a while (by your painting space.) The reason for this is so when you spray your paint, there is no temperature change between the can of paint and the painting environment. This way your can of paint won't blow bubbles so you dont mess up your beloved Xmod.

Step 4: Lay down some newspaper so you keep the floor nice and pretty. (Self Explanitory)

BACK TO THE PAINTING

Now that you have your car masked off, sanded, and ready to paint, youre going to primer the body.

Step 5: Primering
1. Put your car in your painting space.
2. Spray 1 or 2 coats of primer, then stop.
3. Let your car body (and body pieces) dry for 15-30 minutes.

Step 6: Another Sanding (optional)
1. Lightly sand your car to where the primer is nice and smooth.
VERY IMPORTANT:You must let primer COMPLETELY dry before you sand the primer coat.

Step 7: Painting! (the moment youve been waiting for)
1. Get out your can of paint from the water.
2. Shake that paint vigorously for 2 minutes to make sure the particles are well blended.
3. LIGHT COAT, let dry.
4. LIGHT COAT, let dry.
5. (if you think it needs another coat) LIGHT COAT, let dry.
If you are satisfied with your paint, give yourself a pat on the back. If you think the painting sequence needs to be redone, lightly sand the body and spray a coat or two.

Step 8: Clear Coat (optional)
Now that you have your cars main coat on, you can protect it with Clear Coat.
1. Shake your clear coat for 2 minutes.
2. Spray 1-2 light coats of your clear coat, then let dry.

Step 9: Unmasking
Now that your car is painted and everything, its time to unmask.
1. Grab your X-acto knife.
2. Score the edges of the mask with it, then peel them off carefully.

Step 10: Enjoy!
