I draw up some Stock/Custom Chassis Templates on my PC - (Print-able Scaled Templates)

I though it would help ppls that want to make they own metal/ Carbon Fiber/ etc... Chassis's...
Will post more up as I finish them...
So I noticed the GEN 1 chassis only fits Liths right??
so does it fit stock batt holder or hot?
lol... I am not that hard to get a hold off... and I am really sorry for holding up the production of your PDF of my templates... damm... lol... if ppls want the templates I am sure they can get them from here...
and like I said I will be hosting them for download on my own website once I get it sorted, some of us have life outside of xmods to and I will get the new templates and add the "2x2" square added to the past ones for easy printing for them lazy ppls that can't resize them for them selfs...
Not all printers are going to have identical printer settings, and as such there is going to be a variance in resulting print sizes. Ive made a request for Nazcom to create an image of a 2"x2" square to print out for the purpose of settings calibration. If the square prints out true to 2x2 size, the rest of the images will be to spec on paper.
Unfortunately, he's not the easiest guy to get a hold of.
If any here know how to create the necessary 2"x2" calibration square, Id be really appreciative. Its the only thing hindering the posting of my PDF version of Naz's templates. The moment they are done, Ill be posting them publicly here.

Yeah that guy is right, it don,t print to scale. I printed the direct file too. do you know the actual dimensions i.e. width or length so that I can scale it down. Either way thanks I have been looking for these for every because I am designing a chassis. Thanks man.
Resize the file in your paint program until it prints out correctly... that's the only thing I can tell you. You could also tool around with the image resolution (pixels per inch) till it comes out right.
it doesn't print out right on my computer...
why? i opened it in ms paint and printed it, but it's not to scale
and my computer is PDF format retarded(i can't open PDF's)
So I noticed the GEN 1 chassis only fits Liths right??
A week late... But, hey... Most people that go aftermarket on Gen1's just go straght to lithium
So I noticed the GEN 1 chassis only fits Liths right??
No. The batteries (AAA) are in holders located on the side of the chassis.

...and thanks to abbeyroadd I won't need to go look for this when I decide to make an Evo bottom plate out of CF.
I made it a sticky.
All you have to do is edit the first post, and you can select to make it a sticky. :D
Only works for us moderators.

that is just too flipping awsome dude. We need more people like you. good job.
yeah sorry I forgot to say the best way to print them out at scale size...
Right Click on the image then > "Save Picture As..." > Open the saved image in MS Paint and then print it out via MS Paint... I have tested this and they print out to scale size...
Thanks...
Hey Naz, Youve got a PM! - mech
Thanks dude... :D
That's some first rate work, naz...I'll see about getting a sticky for you so we don't lose this in the dredge.
yes the last chassis is that of a evo car one...
yes I did print all the above images off before I posted to cheak them and they are all to scale for a xmod i.e. they are they same size as the real part(s) should be...
isthat an evo chassie ?
You got it man. Credit is always paid where and when due.
It wont be a problem, Im not big on taking credit for other peoples work.
I will try to turn it to PDF, but adjusting the image sizes to match the original components will be rough. Having this to scale, and size is the reason why I want them in PDF format.
Are all the images done to the same scale size? Is the dimensional difference between the real parts and the images the same, for all the images?
Sorry for the multiple posts. From here in, Ill correspond with you via PM regarding this... - mech
do what u want with them as long as u put my name on it somewhere...
Thanks for taking the time to help us all out. I'll most likely benefit from these. :D

Friggin nice, man. Great job scaling those out.
These should be in the tuts section, and are priceless as far as Im concerned.
These will save a lot of issues when attempting custom chassis fab mods and such. Do you mind if I post those as a PDF document?
Kudos - mech
This topic is pretty old, but is there any templates for the Gen 1 rear deck?

Right now I have no rear decks and the only way I have been able to drive this is by this setup.
so does it fit stock batt holder or hot?
I think u mean or "not"... lol...
and yes u can use battery holders, if u just tape them on or somethink... but u may as well just get some liths...
