I was wondering how many of you have or race on RCP track. I recently bought 2 wide L's and a Core Speedway timing system. I know the xmods wouldn't be as good to race as mini-z but I am planning on upgrading to a mini-z down the road just don't want to spend more money since I just bought the track and timing system.

Re: RCP Track

I have bought 2 Wide L tracks new and a "wide lane" expantiopn kit new. I have also bought a few used RCP tracks.I have modified parts so we can have different shaped corners, a narrow lane, even a jump. We had a club clled NoertWest Xmods and have set up MANY different tracks. Our largest was over 35 ft long and 28 ft wide, ( a road course with One Hell of a straight stetch). There is a picture of it somewhere on this sight. I think in the Teams forum.
RCP is in my oppinion, the BEST surface to run on. I will admit, it can get expensive, but it doesnt take a lot to maintain, and it can be set up or picked up rather qwick.

Re: RCP Track

It's not really off-road and on road. It is a smooth side that you can slide a little bit on maybe and a more textured side. Both are on-road the textured side is just better for racing and the smooth side would be more for fun.

I haven't actually driven on the smooth side but the surface on the textured side is amazing for racing.

Re: RCP Track

Ya we are already in it. Kinda wanting to see who else runs on this because it doesn't seem that most xmod people race their cars as much as just mess around with them. Which makes sense because mini-z would be better for racing.

Re: RCP Track

Awesome! I've never raced on RCP, but am planning to once the new LHS in my area opens up. They already have the track set-up, it's huge! But anyway, you said you bought 2 wide L's and a Core timing system? That's perfect for HFAY requirements. Once you do get a mini-z, you should consider starting a club to compete in HFAY, would be loads of fun.
