Hello,
I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you all to our first new sub forum in a long while. This little addition will be the first new concept in a hopeful resurgence in our enjoyment of the xmod.
due to it's downturn in popularity, xmods have slowly been replaced in our RC collection but for those of us who started with the RadioShack product it was never just about the car and upgrades...it was the creative process and imagination involved that sets this RC apart from the rest.
This sub forum has been created to give members(new and old) a venue to post build threads to start some creative designs or wacky vehicles.
I will be coming up with a format of rules and regulations to give everyone the minimal amount of boundaries to follow.
I hope that this will give everyone an opportunity to get the creative mind flowing. :wink:

last time with feeling...swapping parts is not going to get you any votes for a "buildoff' when your competitors are actually using imagination and creativity to push the boundaries of toy grade RC.
I'd rather not see this car in the buildoff area again. :wink:
this something i built a while ago :)
Its got stage 2 motor,
race suspension, useing the red springs,
race bearings,
front rear lights,
green under led light (batery cover)
I might throw something simple together if I have some spare time.
Been doing alot of work on my Mustang lately :D
I believe I'll be entering something... :wink:

Buildoff isnt only about who spent the most cash for his xmod, Do with what you have at home, use ur imagination.
Look at my build. It didnt cost me hundreds of bucks and i like it as it is!

I have my whole project ready to go, I just have not had time... I have been home like maybe three days in the past month and a half?
Give it time, we might see more entries when the new line of Xmods come out.
I would enter something, but I don't have the money or resources. That might change though.

I'd like members who have interest in this buildoff to start posting threads. I would like to see at least 8 entries before I start discussing a prize pool...if I don't get more entries than we have now I'll be scrapping this whole concept and leave this forum board to it's few members who post occasionally on old topics. :wink:
